It's always nice to be recognized for your creativity but it is especially nice when that recognition includes a monetary award. Display your genius in the July Awards Show exhibit and showcase your artistic expression with a chance to win a cash prize. By awarding money to winners, SMAL demonstrates a commitment to supporting the arts community and nurturing artistic talent. Prizes for First Place and Honorable Mention will be awarded for art in 5 categories plus a prize for Best in Show. These 11 winners will also have the opportunity for an exhibition of their work again in September in a show dedicated to them.
The San Marcos Art League 2025 Awards Show will be open for submission from June 2nd to June 27th at 5pm.
Art will be Juried by Jeff Dell, art faculty at Texas State University, in these five categories:
Wet – oil, acrylic, water color
Dry – drawing, pastels, pencil, charcoal, collage
Fiber and mixed media, collage
Photography and digital media
3D – ceramic and sculpture, glass, assemblage
Art must be from 2024 or 2025.
Maximum width of hanging art is 36" including framing.
Entry is $30 for the general public or $20 for members of the San Marcos Art League.
