As part of the Hays County Arts Alliance, Plein Air San Marcos is open to all artists who are interested in plein air painting. Our intent is to promote outdoor painting and to encourage artists of all skill levels to participate. The event is scheduled from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, but artists can come late or leave early. Our hope is to encourage and promote outdoor painting, while creating a time and space to socialize and network with like-minded people.

During the lunch hour, noted artist and art educator, Susan Tadlock Bond, will lead a demonstration/talk about plein air painting. She will offer tips for how to tape paper on a board, quickly block in a drawing, and begin a nice landscape painting.

Please add that there is a deadline of Thursday, April 23, at 3:00 pm, if registrants want to have the box lunch included. We can take reservations after that day, but lunch cannot be guaranteed after that date and time.
