The San Marcos Art League is excited to invite all Texas State students, faculty, staff and alumni to participate in the fourth annual TXST art exhibition, “Creative Community”. 

Working together,  the San Marcos Art League and Texas State University create a flow of inspiration and resources.  The San Marcos Art Center provides a vital bridge from the classroom to the professional art world. It offers emerging artists a centralized, public space to exhibit their work, build professional portfolios, and gain real-world experience in the heart of downtown.  Faculty, alumni and staff bring a depth of technical mastery to the Art League, enriching local exhibitions with diverse perspectives. This exhibition ensures that the university’s cultural legacy remains a living part of the city’s identity. 

• You can apply to participate online between February 2-27, 2026.

• Intake for the show will be Sunday, March 1, from 1-4pm. 

• The public opening reception will be Friday, March 6th from 6-8pm at the San Marcos Art Center.

• The exhibition will be open for viewing through Friday, March 27th.
